Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey was Beatified 75 years ago on 15th October, 1950, the Feast of St Teresa of Avila, by Pope Pius XII.
In commemoration of this anniversary, the Apostolic Penitentiary has granted a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions to those who make pilgrimage to the convents of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny or to the relics of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey during the period 15th October, 2025 to 15th October, 2026.
... which removes all temporal punishment due to sins already forgiven, the following conditions must be met:
Specific Act: Visit the Cluny Sisters' convent (or relic of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey) and participate in a jubilee celebration or spend time in devout prayer.
Detachment: An interior disposition of complete detachment from sin, even venial sin.
Sacramental Confession: Go to confession within about 20 days before or after the act.
Eucharistic Communion: Receive Holy Communion, ideally on the day of the act.
Prayer for the Pope: Pray for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff (typically one Our Father and one Hail Mary).
The indulgence can be applied to oneself or to the souls in purgatory.
